Why Go Out? Have a More Intimate Valentine's Day Dinner at Home (2024)

They say the way to a person's heart is through their stomach, and we agree!

A homemade meal is far more romantic than even the fanciest restaurant, even if you're not the greatest cook. In fact, it's more romantic especially if you're not a seasoned chef! But with these recipes, your special someone might think you were.

Thats because we made these Valentine's Day dinner ideas super easy to make. The key is to use quality ingredients: When you have a nice cut of steak, a fresh piece of fish, or an expensive haul of shellfish, then you don't need to do all that much to let the quality shine through. So the meal will taste excellent, and you'll get all the credit!

To make sure the night is extra romantic, put up a few decorations, so it looks special. Light a few candles and turn the overhead lights off, or down low. Set the mood with some romantic music. And maybe consider getting them a little something so they know how you feel. Then serve up an intimate feast!

Of course, a Valentine's Day dinner is not complete without the perfect romantic dessert. Choose a special chocolate treat or, if you need to keep the oven free for the main dish, go with an easy no-bake dessert. Don't forget to toast the night with a special pink drink or Valentine's Day co*cktail.
