Despite its release date being April 29, 2024, the spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 258 have already been revealed. These spoilers shed light on how Itadori became a formidable cursed sorcerer through rigorous training under experienced mentors and peers.
This chapter primarily focused on flashbacks to Itadori’s training, similar to the previous ones. Through these flashbacks, viewers learned about Kusakabe’s possession of Itadori’s body through Ui Ui’s cursed technique and how this aided the protagonist in mastering new cursed techniques.
The reverse-cursed technique, also known as the healing technique, was considered one of the cursed techniques. Choso proposed that Yuji could acquire this technique by consuming the remaining Death Painting Wombs. Additionally, Kusakabe taught Yuji how to use this technique by utilizing Ui Ui’s cursed technique to switch bodies with him.

Discovering the Training Process Itadori Went Through to Learn the Reverse Cursed Technique in Jujutsu Kaisen
Based on the spoilers of the chapter, it is revealed that the chapter opens with the revelation that Gojo was able to activate his RCT because he had awoken during the battle with Sukuna. The story then continues with the ongoing fight and exposes Sukuna’s weakened state as he was unable to use RCT against Itadori’s relentless onslaught of Black Flash techniques.
As a result, Sukuna was forced to utilize his domain expansion, Malevolent Shrine. The chapter then shifts to a flashback of Itadori’s training, during which Choso expresses his belief that his brother has the ability to awaken RCT on his own. In order to teach him how to activate this technique, he questioned the Jujutsu High sorcerers about their methods of recovering blood through their cursed energy.
RCT, short for reverse-cursed technique, is a sophisticated cursed technique in which a sorcerer harnesses their cursed energy to produce positive energy for healing. Shoko Ieiri is credited as the first to perfect this technique during her time in high school. It was also the very technique that saved Gojo from certain death after his intense battle with Toji Fushigoro.
Yuta and Hakari, known for their incredible strength, were unable to provide an answer to the question as they were naturally skilled in this area. However, Shoko clarified that she used her cursed energy to directly convert it into blood in order to recover from the situation. Choso then added that he did the same.
Despite the lack of time for a proper training process, Choso suggested that Yuji consume the remaining Death Womb Paintings and learn how to produce blood through cursed energy. Additionally, Choso insisted on finding an experienced RCT user to teach Yuji the fundamentals of RCT.
Kusakabe took over and employed Ui Ui’s cursed technique to exchange the souls between Itadori and himself. Yuji had two key factors that helped him learn RCT quickly: firstly, his unique body composition, as asserted by Choso in the chapter, which gave him a stronger and more resilient physical form than that of an ordinary human; and secondly, Yuji was accustomed to using special grade techniques due to Sukuna having utilized his body for a considerable period of time in battle.
The scene shifted back to the ongoing battle, with Sukuna utilizing his domain expansion. In response, Yuji employed the Simple Domain technique that Kusakabe had taught him, along with the fundamentals of RCT. However, Yuji’s Simple Domain proved to be insufficient, resulting in the loss of his left leg due to the King of Curses’ cursed technique. Eventually, Sukuna’s domain dissipated and he switched to his flame-cursed technique, Fuga.
In chapter 250 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuta joined the battle against the King of Curses and teamed up with Yuji to defeat him. Amazed by their progress, he inquired about their recent activities.
Yuji was about to mention the importance of hard work, but Yuta cut in and accused them of cheating. Yuta considered Itadori’s method of learning RCT, which involved exchanging souls with Kusakabe and consuming Death Painting Wombs, as cheating because it allowed him to learn quickly.
